Dr. Rojas is originally from NYC, where he attended college at Hunter College, double majoring in biochemistry and history. He went on to medical school at Yale School of Medicine and stayed at Yale to complete psychiatry residency. He completed his subspecialty training in psychosomatic psychiatry at Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Rojas is now board certified in adult psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine, specializing in the interface between mental and physical health. He believes in using a holistic approach to understand the interaction between mind, brain, and body. Dr. Rojas takes a patient centered approach and pays close attention to a person’s own motivations and goals for treatment. He has extensive experience in geriatric psychiatry, having most recently served as the director of psychiatric services at Beth Israel Deaconess Needham Hospital.
He has also worked on various geriatric psychiatry inpatient units in Massachusetts and Connecticut. He is passionate about providing expert care to seniors and helping families cope with the difficulties of dementia.
